Who we are
Brilliant Children is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit dedicated to families raising children on the autism spectrum. We believe every child shines — and that families do best with clear information and strong organizations in their corner.
We were founded by parents and advocates who experienced firsthand how confusing and isolating the period after an autism diagnosis can be. Waitlists are long, systems are complicated, and reliable information is scattered across dozens of government sites written for professionals. Brilliant Children exists to shorten that path.
What we do
Helping families find answers
We point parents to free, plain-language guides through our resource partner, Raising Brilliance — covering state-by-state services, early intervention, Medicaid waivers, IEP preparation, schools, and therapy options. Every guide is free to read, with no paywalls and no sign-ups. We also share trusted national resources like the Autism Society helpline, state Parent Training and Information Centers, and special education law references.
Strengthening the organizations serving them
Excellent frontline organizations already serve autism families every day. Rather than duplicating their work, we support established 501(c)(3) organizations providing direct services — so proven programs can reach more children and parents.

- We are neurodiversity-affirming. We celebrate autistic children for who they are.
- We provide information, not professional advice — we encourage families to work with qualified medical, legal, and educational professionals.
